Types and effects of sound instruments
Sound instruments are often used in yoga classes, seminars, kindergartens or even at home. Each individual instrument has its own unique sound and character. The effect on our body can also vary depending on the sound instrument. A clear and unique sound can only be created if the instrument is perfectly crafted.
From wind chimes, Zen bells and cymbals to kalimbas and sansulas to monolini and practical accessories - you can buy many different sound instruments in our store. Every single instrument meets our high quality standards and many are handmade.
Which sound instrument should I buy?
Sound instruments are very suitable for meditation and sound massage. They also have a positive effect on the room atmosphere as a decorative element. When buying an instrument, you should trust your instincts: If you find the sound pleasant, this usually indicates good product quality. You should also take a close look at the materials, workmanship and production. If an instrument has not been made properly and the materials are of inferior quality, this will have a direct effect on the sound.
Special chimes and wind chimes from Hess Sound
A very popular chime that you can buy in our store is the Koshichime. It is based on the construction principle of the Zaphir chime and is made of bamboo. The Koshi-chime consists of a glass body, a vibrating body and a resonating body. Eight coordinated bronze rods produce the actual sound when the glass body is touched. This beautiful instrument is particularly effective on our stands for chimes. They are suitable for playing the instrument or displaying it on a desk, windowsill or shelf.
Sound chimes and wind chimes not only look very aesthetically pleasing, they can also create very different moods. They can create a special atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. Not only do the soothing sounds have an effect on us, the movement of the sound instruments in the wind can also have a hypnotizing and calming effect.
What are kalimbas and sansulas?
A kalimba consists of a board with a hollow body and sound tongues, which are usually made of metal. The sound instrument is very easy to learn: plucking it with the thumb produces harmonious and long-lasting tones that can lead to deep relaxation.
The sansula belongs to the kalimba family. The sound tongues are mounted on a wooden block, which is attached to a membrane so that it can vibrate freely. You can buy both sansulas and kalimbas in our store.
