The universal bowl is thin-walled and is characterized by an intense vibration. If this Singing Bowl is played with different mallets, the sound character can be changed. This means that with small hard mallets, this Singing Bowl becomes very dominant in its overtone chain (all bright tones are clearly brought out).
With thicker, soft mallets, this bowl sounds much deeper and the strongly dominant, low frequencies become audible and perceptible. This bowl therefore has its place when used with the various mallet techniques on the whole body.
