Gongs are among the oldest and most important musical instruments in Southeast Asia.
They come in various designs and sizes.
In Peter Hess® sound massage and sound pedagogy, the gong has become a central instrument alongside the Singing Bowl .
The Feng and TamTam gongs, which we have been purchasing in Asia for years, have proven particularly useful for our work. We pay attention to selected, tested quality, because only then will your gong give you great pleasure when playing and listening to it.
It can be played on both sides and the smaller sizes up to 55 cm in diameter can also be held in the hand. The large gongs are hung in the gong stand. They are valuable companions in sound work, sound therapy and sound massage.
The Chinese feng gong is an almost flat disk made of a polished bronze alloy. It is sometimes referred to as a sun gong because of its radiant shine. This gong is made almost rimless from a thin, light yellow metal plate and is slightly curved. This allows the vibrations to spread more easily and the gong begins to vibrate strongly when strike is struck. This gong is made in excellent quality for sound work.
The gongs each have 2 drilled holes and are fitted with a cord for hanging.
